Some links to other university rankings are provided below:
- Academic Ranking of World Universities. This ranking is produced by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University and is commonly known as the Shanghai Ranking. The ranking covers 500 universities. It attempts to provide a comprehensive measure of university performance, including both research performance and educational performance. In addition to bibliometric data (Web of Science), the ranking also uses data on Nobel Prize and Fields Medal winners as well as data on the number of academic staff of universities.
- QS World University Rankings. Like the Shanghai Ranking, this ranking aims to measure the overall performance of a university, which includes both research performance and educational performance. The ranking includes 700 universities. It is based on a combination of bibliometric data (Scopus), survey data, and data provided by universities and government agencies.
- SCImago Institutions Rankings. This is a ranking of over 3000 research organizations. The ranking is produced by the SCImago research group in Spain. Like the Leiden Ranking, the SCImago Institutions Rankings is based entirely on bibliometric data (Scopus) and focuses exclusively on measuring research performance.
- Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The methodology of this ranking is somewhat similar to the methodology of the QS World University Rankings. The ranking covers 400 universities and is based on a combination of bibliometric data (Web of Science), survey data, and data provided by the universities themselves.
